HR consulting projects

Four HR projects. Four fixed fees. No hourly clock.

HR audit, employee handbook, compensation benchmarking and ATS setup, each at a published price. 50% upfront, 50% on delivery, and a 30-day window to fix anything that is not right. Delivered against the playbook built while running these functions for a 400-plus workforce.

Who this is for

For companies whose HR grew by accident

Most clients for these projects have staff in more than one country, policies copied from somewhere, and a founder or office manager holding HR together. Each project fixes one specific gap.

Preparing for a raise, an audit, or a first HR hire

The HR audit tells you what is missing, what is risky, and in what order to fix it, before an investor, an auditor or a new HR lead finds it first.

A handbook that was copied from somewhere

The employee handbook is rewritten for your company and the countries you employ in, so the leave policy, the conduct rules and the remote-work terms describe what you actually do.

Losing offers, or overpaying, on salary

Compensation benchmarking gives you a market range for each of up to 25 roles and a band structure, so offers stop being a guess and raises stop being a negotiation.

Hiring without structure

ATS setup and scorecards turn interviews into scored, comparable conversations, with a pipeline you can see and templates managers actually use.

When it is the wrong fit

Ongoing HR support, week after week, is the Fractional HR partner at $950 a month. Filling the roles is recruitment.

What you get

Four deliverables, what is in each, and when

Every project ends with a written deliverable you own, a readout, and a 30-day fix window. Timings are business days from the kickoff call and the first payment.

HR audit, $1,200

A review of contracts and offer letters, policies, onboarding and exit, leave and working-time records, payroll and benefits administration, and record-keeping, across every country you employ in. You get a written report with each finding rated by risk, a prioritised fix list with an owner and a timing for each item, and a 60-minute readout.

Delivered in 10 business days

Employee handbook, $900

Written for your company and your jurisdictions, not adapted from a download. Covers conduct, working hours and remote work, leave, pay and expenses, equipment and data security, anti-harassment and equal opportunity, grievance and discipline, performance, and exit. Delivered as an editable document with an acknowledgement form. Your counsel reviews before you publish.

Delivered in 10 business days

Compensation benchmarking, $1,500

For each of up to 25 roles: a market range (low, mid, high) for the markets you hire in, built from published salary data, live job-post data and what candidates ask for in our active searches. Plus a band structure, placement of your current staff against it, and a one-page comp note you can use in offers. Delivered as a spreadsheet and a summary memo.

Delivered in 15 business days

ATS setup and scorecards, $1,200

We configure the ATS you have, or recommend one and set it up: pipeline stages, job and email templates, structured scorecards for up to five role families, interview kits, and a hiring dashboard. Includes a 60-minute session for hiring managers on how to score. Licence fees stay with the vendor.

How it works

From scoping call to delivery in 10 to 15 business days

The scope is fixed in writing before the first invoice. If something turns up mid-project that changes the scope, we stop and agree it before continuing.

  1. Day 0

    Scoping call

15 minutes. Which project, which countries, which systems. We confirm the price and what you will receive.

  2. Day 1

    Scope, invoice, document list

Written scope, the 50% upfront invoice, and a list of the documents and access we need from you.

  3. Day 3 to 5

    Working sessions

Interviews with the people who hold the knowledge, document review, and system access. Two to three hours of your time in total.

  4. Day 8 to 12

    Draft for comment

A complete draft. You mark what is wrong, missing or does not fit. We revise.

  5. Day 10 to 15

    Delivery and readout

Final deliverable, a readout call, and the 50% balance invoice. The 30-day fix window starts here.

What is not included

What the fixed fee does not cover

A fixed fee only works if the edges are clear. These are the edges.

  • Legal review. We are HR operators, not lawyers. Handbooks and audit findings should be checked by counsel in each country before you rely on them, and we tell you which items need it.
  • Software and data licences. ATS subscriptions and paid salary surveys, if your market needs one, are bought by you from the vendor.
  • Implementing the audit's fix list. That is a further project or the Fractional HR partner.
  • More than 25 roles in benchmarking, or more than five role families of scorecards. Quoted before we start.
  • Ongoing HR support after delivery, beyond the 30-day fix window.
  • Payroll processing and benefits enrolment.

Questions clients ask

Jurisdictions, the fix window, your time, and bundling

Which countries can you cover?

The founder built and ran policy and compliance for a US-market company with staff in the US, UK, Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia, so those are the markets covered best. For other countries we research the rules, draft accordingly, and flag what needs local counsel. Anything with legal weight is signed off by a lawyer in your jurisdiction, and the deliverable says which items those are.

What does the 30-day fix window cover?

Anything inside the agreed scope that is wrong, missing, or does not fit how you work, fixed at no charge for 30 days after delivery. It does not cover new scope: a new country, a new policy area, or roles beyond the 25 in the benchmarking. Those are quoted separately.

How much of my time does it take?

Two to three hours across the project for the audit and the ATS setup, including the readout or training session. About an hour for the handbook, plus the time to read the draft. About an hour for benchmarking, plus a list of roles and current salaries. The rest is document sharing and system access on Day 1.

Can I run two projects together?

Yes. Prices are per project and add up; there is no bundle discount hidden behind a call. We sequence them so one feeds the next: the audit informs the handbook, and benchmarking informs the offer templates in the ATS.

What do you need from me to start?

An org chart, the current contracts and policies, a payroll summary by country, and access to the systems in scope. For benchmarking, the list of roles with current salaries and locations. For the ATS, admin access or the go-ahead to set one up. The Day-1 document list spells it out.

Who does the work?

Led by the founder. Faraz Ather led a nine-person HR team and ran compensation cycles, benefits, HRIS, policy and compliance for a 400-plus workforce, and holds AIHR certifications in talent acquisition strategy, recruitment analytics, candidate screening, and HR KPIs and OKRs. The deliverables are the ones he built and used in that role.

Next step

Pick the project. Get the scope in writing by Day 1.

A 15-minute call confirms which project, which countries and which systems. The written scope and the document list follow the next business day, and delivery is dated before you pay anything.
