About AtherTalent

A written rubric, a live skills screen, and a lower cost base.

AtherTalent is a recruitment and HR consulting firm. Everything on this page can be checked: a LinkedIn profile, five certificate validators, and the numbers from one company buildout.

Founder

Faraz Ather

Nine years in recruiting and HR, including Head of HR and Talent at a US-market technology and healthcare company. There he led a 9-person HR team and built the people function that took the company from 10 employees to more than 400 in under two years, with 90% year-one retention across that buildout. That buildout is where the method AtherTalent sells was written.

He has hired across five countries: the US, UK, Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia. He ran compensation cycles for a workforce of more than 400 and owned benefits, HRIS, policy and compliance. Earlier: recruiting and HR at United Woundcare Institute and Sky Systems, and cleared US federal recruiting (TS and TS-Poly candidates) at McLean Intelligent Workforce.

Independent record: 12 Upwork contracts, 81% job success, most reviews 5.0. One search worth naming: a $150k Strategic Account Director for a US marketing agency serving Fortune 500 brands, filled in 2023.

Each AIHR chip opens the certificate validator.

Why the firm exists

The agency fee pays for the agency, not the search.

Why the price is what it is.

Traditional agencies quote 20 to 25% of salary for a placement. Most of that fee buys overhead: an office, an account manager, a brand. The work that actually fills a role is smaller than the invoice suggests.

That work is a written definition of good, a sourcing pass that goes past the job boards, a screen that tests the skill instead of the CV, and someone who follows through to the start date. AtherTalent was built around that engine, which came out of running hiring from the employer's side at a company that grew from 10 people to more than 400 in under two years. The firm sells it by the seat, at a price that reflects an offshore cost base.

Every search runs the same way, whoever it is for: the definition of good is written down before anyone is sourced, every candidate takes a live skills screen, and one named person stays accountable to the start date. Nothing is skipped to hit the price.

How the firm works

Four things that keep the fee low and the bar high

None of them is a shortcut on screening. All of them are a shortcut on overhead.

No account manager layer

You deal with the people running your search. There is no account manager relaying notes, and no junior sourcer quietly handed the search you were quoted for. The brief, the rubric, the sourcing pass, the skills screen and the offer conversation stay with the same senior hands.

AI-assisted sourcing, human judgement

The stack is LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X-ray search, ZoomInfo, SignalHire and Apollo for sourcing, plus AI-assisted CV screening and structured scorecards for the first pass. We configure and run these tools; we did not build them. They handle volume. A person makes every decision about who reaches your shortlist.

Offshore cost base

The firm operates offshore, on UTC+5. No office lease, no downtown salary structure, no brand budget. The overhead a Western agency recovers through a 20 to 25% fee is not in our invoice. US mornings are our working evenings; UK and Gulf hours overlap fully.

Priced on outcomes

Commission is invoiced when the hire starts. Seats are one monthly number with recruiting, HR administration and replacement inside it. Fixed-fee projects are half upfront, half on delivery. No rebills, tool fees or add-ons. Every price is published on the pricing page.

What we will not do

Five rules, written down so you can hold us to them

Charge a candidate

Never, for anything. Employers pay. No fee, no deposit, no document retention. The ethical recruitment statement sets it out in full.

Take a discriminatory brief

A request to filter by age, sex, race, religion, disability, nationality or any other protected characteristic is declined in writing. Shortlists are built on the criteria agreed in the rubric. See the equal opportunity statement.

Send CV spam

You see three to five people who passed a written rubric and a live skills screen. Not 40 profiles from a keyword search, and never a candidate who has not agreed to be put forward.

Manufacture urgency

No invented competing offers, no expiring quotes, no pressure to sign today. If a candidate has another offer, you get the real deadline and nothing more.

Invent a team

No stock-photo consultants and no "global network". Faraz is the firm. Seat staff are real, named people hired for your seat.

How to check: the LinkedIn profile and the five AIHR validator links above are live. Nothing else on this page is a claim we cannot show you.

Next step

Bring a role. Leave with a fee and a date.

A 15-minute call covers fit, fee and when you would see a shortlist. If we are not the right fit, we say so and point you somewhere useful.
